About Vitaliy Sokolov

In 2005, I got my Master of Arts in Translation from Zaporizhzhya National University (following B.A. in Translation from the same university in 2004).

In 2005, I became an Assistant Professor of English at Zaporizhzhia National University.

In 2012, I graduated from a Ph.D. program in Linguistics and earned my Ph.D. diploma from Ivan Franko National University of Lviv in 2013.

In 2015, I received a title of Associate Professor of English from the Ministry of Education of Ukraine.

I have been teaching English and Translation in various higher education institutions from 2005 to 2016 when I moved to Canada.

Having relocated to Canada in 2016, I became a certified translator with the Association of the Translators and Interpreters of Ontario (ATIO) in 2018, pursuing my love to English and Translation.

In 2025, I expanded my certifications and became a certified translator with the Society of Translators and Interpreters of British Columbia (STIBC), and the Corporation of Translators, Terminologists and Interpreters of New Brunswick (CTINB).

I have translated for United Nations, FIFA, Microsoft, SAP, Orange, Vertu, ABBYY  etc.

My work has been checked numerous times by very demanding specialists.

I am also a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant, an active member of the Immigration Consultants of Canada Regulatory Council (CICC) and Canadian Association of Professional Immigration Consultants (CAPIC). 

I am also a Commissioner for Taking Affidavits for immigration purposes.

I combine work in immigration and in translation.

I know exactly what Canadian immigration authorities are looking for in the translations and what their requirements to translations are.

I do high-quality work, I double-check and triple-check myself. Translation is what I have done most of my life since I graduated. I am bringing to you the experience of dozens of years that I spent in the translation field (both academic and practical).
